Customer Retention Specialist

Summary: The goal of the Customer Retention Specialist is to ensure that the existing customer base is maintained, protected and grown by renewing and extending contracts, as well as up selling additional services, which includes:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Acts as the liaison between customers and Telx Telecom to ensure customer retention via contract renewal
  • Extend the life and value of the existing contracts
  • Prevent customers from taking their business to other carriers
  • Promote new and existing product offerings /li>
  • Explain product features and benefits in an attempt to up sell
  • Attempt to save disconnect requests
  • Escalate problem to technical group
  • Must be able to visit customers as needed
  • Work closely with the Marketing department to achieve an effective customer communication line
Skills:
  • Strong selling skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to quickly learn technical information via training sessions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both, English and Spanish
  • Ability to work and excel in a fast-paced environment /li>
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Time Management Skills
